DUE TO COVID-19, OUR SMALL BUSINESSES NEED OUR SUPPORT
Out of this need, EnCourage Lancaster was born.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $14,000 for small businesses in Lancaster City!
In the tough times and the great times, as a community of small business owners in Lancaster County we stand with one another with courage and celebration of what we can do together.
We stand together with all small businesses, micro-enterprises and start-ups in Lancaster County as we provide advocacy, tools, and support.
Together in Lancaster County we speak in one voice to ensure our unique business models, services, and work are represented and supported by the resources that help us the most. This includes holding key stakeholders accountable in the decisions that they are making on our behalf.
We seek to enrich our Lancaster County community by providing our unique goods, services, and expertise. We also seek to shine a light on what working in and on a small business looks like and how it helps our local economy.
We look to the future of small business in Lancaster County and ask ‘how can we move forward as a small business community?
What is EnCourage Lancaster?
EnCourage Lancaster was established during the unprecedented health crisis of 2020 to empower all small businesses, micro-enterprises and start-ups in Lancaster County to continue enriching our local economy. We call on our fellow residents to let our voices be heard, serve our community, and support one another to continue contributing our goods, services and expertise, now and in the future.
EnCourage Lancaster reaches out to the community of Lancaster small business owners and all residents as we continually remind one another:
“Yes, we CAN do this. We are here to support each other and we are here to stay.”
What was the emergency fund?
EnCourage Lancaster City Small Business Emergency Fund crowdfunding campaign asked locals and businesses alike to financially support the success of Lancaster’s small business community. The crowdfunding campaign and advocacy for locally supported and distributed small business emergency relief grants was created by EnCourage Lancaster. EnCourage Lancaster is a new small business advocacy group made up of local small business owners in response to the urgent needs of the Lancaster City business community in the midst of the dramatic economic downturn sparked by the pandemic.
